Instagram Story Downloader
Keep any public Instagram story as a file at the quality it was uploaded. Paste a @username, press the download icon on a story, and it lands on your device. No login, no watermark, nobody told.
A save button Instagram never gave you
Stories vanish 24 hours after they go up, and Instagram has no save button for other people's stories. StoriesMask fills that gap. Enter a public username and the live stories appear as cards, each with a download button that saves the original file: a JPG for photos, an MP4 with sound for videos. Save all grabs every live story at once.
Because our server makes the request, your browser never contacts Instagram and no account of yours is involved. No view appears, no notification goes out. Highlights behave the same way: open one and save the stories inside it, however old they are.
Saving a story in four steps
Four steps, nothing to install.
Find the username
Open the profile on Instagram and copy the @username or the profile link. A story link works too.
Paste and search
Drop it into the box above and press Watch stories. The live stories and highlights of that public profile load in seconds.
Press download
Each story card has a download button, and Save all takes every live story. Photos save as JPG, videos as MP4 with the original audio.
Find the file
On iPhone it goes to Photos or Files, on Android to Gallery or Downloads, and on a computer to your Downloads folder.
What you get
Photo stories as JPG at the resolution Instagram serves, usually 1080 × 1920.
Video stories as MP4, including the music or voice that played on Instagram.
Highlight stories from any highlight on the profile, however old.
Profile pictures in full size instead of the cropped circle.
Nothing stamped on it. The file is saved as it was uploaded.
No cap. No account, no credits, no daily limit on downloads.
Quality and privacy
A lot of story downloaders give you a screen recording or a squashed copy. StoriesMask asks for the actual media file Instagram serves to the web and hands it over untouched: same resolution, same frame rate, same audio.
The request carries no account, so the save is anonymous, and neither the file nor the username is kept on our side. Save for personal use, and ask the creator before you repost.
Frequently asked questions
Can I download a story without the owner knowing?
No. The story is fetched without any Instagram account, so there is no view to record and nothing to notify.
Is the audio kept in the saved video?
Yes. Video stories save as MP4 with the original audio track, including music added on Instagram.
Is there a watermark?
No. The file arrives exactly as it was uploaded, nothing stamped on it.
What about stories on private profiles?
No. StoriesMask only works with public profiles.
Can I download old stories?
Only if the owner pinned them to a highlight. Anything that expired without being pinned has left Instagram for good.
Where does iPhone put the file?
Safari asks whether to download, then drops it into the Files app, or into Photos for pictures. Chrome on iPhone does the same.
Is it free?
Yes, with no limit on how many stories you save.
Can I paste a story link instead of a username?
Yes. Paste the story link or profile link; StoriesMask pulls the username out and loads that account's stories.
